Dr. Lenka Glassman, PsyD

Who I work with

I’m a licensed psychologist who offers specialized treatment for children, teens, adults, and families who are struggling with symptoms related to Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Eating Disorders. I frequently work with those affected by chronic illness, panic, phobias, depression, and parenting challenges. I’m passionate about helping fellow humans recognize their own power, face their fears, and step into greater confidence.

Outside of my clinical work, I’ve authored multiple books for children facing mood and anxiety challenges, and am grateful to be able to speak at local schools about mental health, anxiety, and perfectionism.

How I work

My therapeutic approach is grounded in research-based care, while integrating sound psychodynamic principles. I have advanced training and certification in evidence-based treatments including cognitive-behavioral therapy and it’s sub-specialities (ERP, SPACE, and ACT), allowing you to benefit from the most effective strategies available today and achieve the most meaningful results. I’m also extensively trained in psychodynamic therapies, which can help you gain a deep understanding of your challenges, break unhealthy patterns, and get to a place of inner peace and lasting change.

My commitment to clinical excellence and specialization are the key to my clients (and my own) growth. I seek to maintain the highest standards of care by continuing to engage in advanced training, and by consulting on a regular (weekly) basis with experts in their fields.

My experience as a coach and group fitness leader allow me to incorporate mindfulness, yoga, and physical movement with many of my clients. Mental health and physical health are inextricably linked, and even small changes in your daily habits can help amplify your therapy results.

Personal qualities that I strive to bring to the therapy space include authenticity, directness, compassion and a dose of humor. I believe that that healing comes from practicing acceptance, compassion, and flexibility with ourselves and others.
